Student Services is here to help! We can answer students’ general questions, schedule an academic counseling session, reserve a group study room, and help with cashiering needs (only cash and checks accepted).
Please visit our directions page.
Nine group study rooms are available for student use on the third and fourth floors. The rooms are usually available on a first-come basis. As a consideration to fellow students, please limit study in these rooms to two hours.
During reading days and final exams, reservations are required for group study rooms, and the two-hour time limit is strictly enforced due to higher demand. To reserve a room, please visit Student Services during office hours. If the Student Services office is closed, reserve a room with the library staff.
Each group study room is equipped with a whiteboard. Whiteboard markers and erasers can be checked out in the library with a BYU ID card.
For access to parking, students will need to be issued a new BYU ID card with an embedded electronic chip. In order to receive a BYU ID card with a chip, the student must be registered for a BYU Salt Lake Center class for the current semester or term. They will need to turn in their current BYU ID card or show picture ID. A new picture will be taken and a new BYU ID card with a chip will be issued. ID cards are issued in the BYU Salt Lake Center Library or at the BYU ID Center located in the Wilkinson Center in Provo.
The cost to replace a lost BYU ID card is $10. Students may pay this fee at Student Services with cash or check. The BYU Salt Lake Center Library will then issue a new BYU ID card. A new BYU ID card may also be obtained at the BYU ID Center located in the Wilkinson Center in Provo.
