Health Insurance

Students (admitted to BYU and Salt Lake Center only) enrolled in 9 or more credit hours are required to have health insurance year round, including any spring or summer term when they do not attend classes and during other short-term breaks from classes.

All students are automatically enrolled in BYU's Student Health Plan. Students who are already covered by a different health insurance plan will need to go to OneStop for instructions on how to waive the BYU Student Health Plan.

Students who want to waive the Student Health Plan must do so every fall semester before the add/drop deadline.

For additional information, see the Student Health Plan Requirements and the Student Health Center FAQ.

To contact the Student Health Center, call 801-422-2771.

Students who want to be enrolled in a BYU Student Health Plan should see OneStop's Enroll in a Student Health Plan information page.
